Blepharoplasty Eyelid Surgery Blepharoplasty or Upper & Lower eyelid bagginess Correction :- Upper Eyelid bagginess also develops with age due to loss of proper support to orbital fat and the later protrudes. In some races the volume of orbit is less so more fat protrudes in upper eyelid. In blepharoplasty, excess skin and muscle is taken out and fat is redistributed to provide youthful appearance. again due to loss of support and descent of fat. Most important is redistribution of fat , skin removal done in Blepharoplasty only if there is clear excess.

Asian Double Eyelid Blepharoplasty Involves full, fatty or double eyelid with downward pointing medial canthus - needs Eyelid Epicanthoplasty with Blepharoplasty, this section also includes Medial canthoplasty in traumatic avulsion of medial canthus :- Medial ( Inner ) & lateral (Outer) Attachments of eyelid to bone are called Canthus. They provide fulcrum for eyelids to move and also important for Lacrimal pump mechanism. Laxity in eyelid leading to failure of normal lacrimal pump mechanism & excessive lacrimation may be due to detachment of canthi ( mostly traumatic ) or laxity of eyelid support (as in old age) or lack of globe support to eyelid (as in sunken eyes - post traumatic Fracture of orbital floor or loss of fat in orbit (as in Myopic ( people with negative power glasses ) people.
Medial Epicanthoplasty : Medial epicanthus normally points straight inwards, in Asian population (normally) and some congenital deformities it points downwards with creation of epicanthi fold , which covers inner corner of eye. Epicanthoplasty a small surgery moves medial canthus in normal position. See 2nd Picture Below

Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty & Minimally Invasive Approach

Lower lid Blepharoplasty for Lower Eyelid Bagginess : lower lid bagginess needs Blepharoplasty surgery in similar way. reason of this bagginess is loosening of orbital septum and protrusion of orbital fat at eyelid cheek junction. Fat protrusion rather than being removed is distributed in eyelid cheek junction area, where a depressed line is created due to bulging eyelid fat above and lack of fat below. Tear trough deformity is corrected along with Blepharoplasty.
Minimally Invasive Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty with Under eye Fat Grafting - in patients with no excess skin and eyelid bagginess due to shallow orbit, no need of skin excision. We have developed new technique of lower lid Blepharoplasty through a small puncture to redistribute fat and create smooth under eye. Redistribution of fat along with fat grafting if needed provides beast result in most of Blepharoplasty cases.

Scar & Moles Removal Treatment from Eyelids

Scarless removal was important in this case as this cystic mole removal could have caused ectropian (eversion of eyelid margin) or Coloboma (depression in eyelid margin) in this case. Usually it is removed by excising a triangular wedge, which creates a permanent scar and also some dent on eyelid margin. Scarless removal avoids all problems.
